NIACINAMIDE

Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3, water-soluble and alcohol-soluble, with a low molecular weight. Clinical studies show that it has a positive effect on the skin when used regularly and is suitable for all ages.

  • Niacinamide has antioxidant properties that protect the skin from free radicals, preventing premature skin aging. It stimulates lipid production and the formation of collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer and more elastic skin with a smooth and even tone.
  • Thanks to its ability to regulate sebum production and its anti-inflammatory properties, it has a beneficial effect on acne-prone skin and can help mattify the T-zone. Additionally, it has antibacterial effects, soothing redness and contributing to the healing of scars and evening out skin tone. With regular use, it tightens enlarged pores.
  • It suppresses the synthesis of melanin, helping fade dark spots and pigmented acne scars. Regular use of products containing Vitamin B3 restores skin tone evenness and radiance.
  • It enhances the skin's protective function and moisturizes. It has a regenerative effect on damaged skin barrier, assisting the body in forming lipids and ceramides, which are essential for the skin's protective function. This helps the skin retain more moisture and become more resilient to external factors. Therefore, niacinamide-containing products are suitable for dry skin as well.

Although it is well-tolerated by all skin types, the use of products containing niacinamide should be adjusted to the formulations and texture in which it is included as an ingredient. Too high a concentration may temporarily cause unwanted redness of the skin, as the vitamin temporarily dilates blood vessels. Therefore, it is recommended to start with a concentration of 1-5%.

  • For soothing and anti-inflammatory action - 2%
  • For pigmentation treatment - up to 5%
  • For acne and mature skin – from 5% to 10%

Niacinamide has the unique property of combining well with most active ingredients in cosmetics, including retinols, peptides, hyaluronic acid, AHA and BHA acids, and even Vitamin C and antioxidants.
!!! Its use with Vitamin C should be considered due to the acidic pH of ascorbic acid, which can cause redness and discomfort. The two ingredients should be applied with an interval of about 15 minutes to allow the skin to normalize its pH.
